SoSha User Privacy Policy
Last updated: Oct 9, 2026
This policy explains how SpeechifAI Inc. handles personal data when you use SoSha, whether you are visiting a social share toolkit or hold a SoSha account with a connected social media profile.
If anything here is unclear, contact us at support@sosha.ai.
1. Who We Are
The controller of the personal data described here is:
SpeechifAI Inc.
580 5th Avenue, Suite 820
New York, NY 10036
United States
support@sosha.ai
Organizations that create toolkits using SoSha may separately act as controllers in respect of their own campaigns and communities. Where that is so, the organization is responsible for explaining its own processing to you. Section 7 sets out what organizations can and cannot see about you.
2. Who This Policy Covers
It covers two groups, which are treated differently:
-
Toolkit visitors — anyone who opens a share toolkit, with or without an account. We process a limited set of data about you (section 3.1).
-
Account holders — those who have created a SoSha account, and who may have connected a social media profile. All of this policy may apply to you.
3. What We Process
3.1 Toolkit visitors without an account
An account is not required to use a toolkit. When you open one, and when you interact with or share the content it contains, we process:
-
your IP address, together with browser and device information;
-
which toolkit you visited, and how you reached it;
-
how you interacted with it — for example viewing a post or changing its social network;
-
the content of any post you share, including any edits you made to it beforehand;
-
the destination network for each share, and whether the share completed; and
-
clicks on the tracked links contained in shared posts.
These records are not linked to your name or your account. They do include your IP address, and we therefore treat them as personal data and limit their retention (section 8).
Where you hold an account, share activity from that point onward may be linked to it in order to display your own sharing history. We do not retrospectively attach your identity to earlier anonymous activity.
3.2 Account information
-
your name;
-
your email address, where the sign-in method provides a verified one — some identity providers do not, in which case your account has no email address on file;
-
an account identifier;
-
authentication information;
-
your profile picture, where your sign-in provider supplies one;
-
account preferences; and
-
account creation and sign-in records.
If you sign in through an identity provider, we receive from that provider only what is needed to identify you and create the account.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account and use them only to create your account and sign you in. SoSha's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.
3.3 Sharing activity
-
the content of each post you share, including any edits you made to it beforehand;
-
dates and times;
-
the destination social network;
-
identifiers for the relevant content or campaign;
-
whether each publishing request succeeded or failed;
-
clicks on the tracked links contained in posts you shared; and
Toolkit content is written by the organization running the campaign, but you may edit it before sharing. Both what was shared and the fact that you shared it form part of this record.
3.4 Connected social media account information
Where you connect a social media account, we store details about the connection:
-
which network it is;
-
your account identifier and handle on that network;
-
the permissions you granted;
-
when the connection expires;
-
its status — active, needing reconnection, or revoked; and
-
when it was last used.
We do not receive your social media password. Authorization is conducted on the network's own systems.
3.5 Social network credentials
When you connect an account, the network issues us a credential enabling our systems to submit posts you have confirmed, within the permissions granted.
The composition of that credential differs by network. Depending on the network, it may comprise:
-
an access token, which authorizes the request;
-
a refresh token, where the network issues one, allowing the connection to be maintained without repeated authorization; and
-
a connection-specific cryptographic key, where the network's protocol requires one.
Where a network does not issue a refresh token, its access token expires after a fixed period and you will be asked to reconnect.
We treat these as sensitive security credentials. We use them only to publish posts you have confirmed, to maintain the connection, to diagnose publishing failures, and to protect the security of the Service. We do not sell them, disclose them to toolkit organizations or to other users, or use them to read your feed, your contacts, your followers or your private messages.
3.6 Technical and usage information
IP addresses, browser and device information, timestamps, logs, session information, security events, API request metadata, and diagnostic and error information.
3.7 AI writing requests
When you use SoSha’s AI writing tools, we keep a copy of what is sent to the AI provider and of the text it returns, together with the account or toolkit visit it relates to. We use these copies only to review the quality of the AI-generated text and to detect and prevent abuse of the tools. We do not use them for any other purpose.
4. Why We Process It, and on What Legal Basis
Connecting a social media account is optional and is not a condition of using SoSha. In connecting one you request assisted sharing, and holding the credential is the means by which that service is delivered; there is no alternative that avoids you copying and pasting manually. If you prefer that we did not hold a credential, do not connect an account — the remainder of the Service is unaffected.
You may disconnect at any time, and we delete the credential immediately (section 8).
5. Who Receives Your Personal Data
Connected social networks. When you confirm a post, the content and the information required to publish it are transmitted to that network. Its handling of that information is governed by the network's own policies.
Service providers. We use the following providers, who process personal data on our behalf under contract:
Third-party analytics and advertising providers. Where an organization has configured its own tags on a toolkit and you have consented, information about your visit is sent to the provider concerned, such as Google or Meta. Those providers act on their own account rather than as our service providers, and their handling of that information is governed by their own policies and by the organization’s.
Toolkit organizations. See section 7.
Authorities and others where the law requires it, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not provide social network credentials to toolkit organizations, to other users, or to anyone else.
6. How We Protect Your Data
We have implemented commercially reasonable measures designed to secure your personal data from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Despite these efforts to store personal data in a secure environment, we cannot guarantee the security of personal data during its transmission or its storage on our systems.
7. What Toolkit Organizations Can See
Organizations that run toolkits see aggregate results only: total shares, total clicks on the links inside shared posts, and which posts and networks performed well. They do not receive your name, your email address, your social media handle, or the identity of the specific posts you shared.
That describes what we report to organizations. An organization may separately configure its own analytics or advertising tags on its toolkit, as described in section 10. Where it does, that organization collects information directly through those tags, into its own accounts, acting as its own controller and under its own privacy policy. What it collects that way is outside what we report to it and outside our control.
They do not receive your social network credentials.
We may in future offer organizations a view that identifies individual sharers, for example so that an organization can recognize its most active advocates. We will not enable that for you without asking you separately and explicitly beforehand. It will remain your choice and will not be a condition of using SoSha.
8. How Long We Keep Things
On disconnection we delete the credential immediately. Backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle and no copy remains after 90 days.
Disconnection does not erase records of shares already made, and does not remove posts already published to a social network.
We may retain specific information for longer where the law requires it, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
9. International Transfers
SoSha operates in the United States. Our servers are located in the United States. If you are in the EU or UK, your personal data is transferred to and processed in the US.
Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum to them, together with additional safeguards where appropriate. You may request a copy by contacting support@sosha.ai.
Some connected social networks and service providers may also process data outside your country.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and, in some cases, the organizations running toolkits use browser storage and similar technologies. They fall into three groups:
-
Strictly necessary — keeping you signed in, keeping your session secure, and protecting against attacks. These do not require your consent, and SoSha cannot function without them.
-
Our own analytics — measuring how toolkits and the links inside shared posts perform.
-
Third-party analytics and advertising — an organization running a toolkit may configure its own tags, such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel, often delivered through Google Tag Manager. These are the organization’s tools, configured by the organization, and the data they collect goes to that organization and to the provider concerned.
Where the law requires your consent, we ask for it before anything beyond the strictly necessary group is enabled, and no third-party tag is loaded until you have given it. You may refuse and continue using the toolkit normally, and you may withdraw your consent at any time.
11. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
-
access/obtain a copy of your personal data;
-
have inaccurate data corrected;
-
request deletion;
-
object or restrict us from processing your personal data in certain circumstances;
-
receive certain data in a portable format;
-
withdraw consent where we rely on consent, without affecting processing carried out beforehand; and
-
lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact support@sosha.ai.
You may disconnect a social media account at any time, wherever the connection is displayed within SoSha.
If you are in the EU or UK, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
You will not be discriminated against in any way by virtue of your exercise of the rights listed in this policy. However, should you withdraw your consent or object to processing of your personal data, or if you choose not to provide certain personal data, we may be unable to provide some, or all, of our Services to you.
Only you, or an authorized agent that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a request related to your personal data. We must verify your identity before fulfilling your requests, and if we cannot verify your identity, we may request additional information from you. If you are an authorized agent making a request on behalf of another person, we will also need to verify your identity, which may require proof of your written authorization or evidence of a power of attorney. We endeavor to respond to requests within the time period required by applicable law. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.
We may deny certain requests, or only fulfill some in part, as permitted or required by law. If you are not satisfied with the resolution of your request and you are afforded a right to appeal such decision, you will be notified of our appeal process in our response to your request.
12. Deleting Your Account
Account deletion is not currently self-service. Contact support@sosha.ai and we will action it.
When we delete your account:
-
your account information and the records linked to you are deleted;
-
any active social network credentials are deleted, so that we can no longer post anywhere;
-
analytics records are de-identified rather than deleted — the identifiers linking them to you are removed, leaving data that is no longer about you; and
-
we retain only what is required for legal, security or dispute-resolution purposes.
Deleting your SoSha account does not remove posts already published to a social network; those must be managed on the network itself.
13. Third-Party Sites
We are not responsible for the practices employed by any websites or services linked to or from the Service, including the information or content contained within them. We encourage you to investigate and ask questions before disclosing personal data to third parties, since any personal data disclosed will be handled in accordance with the applicable third party’s privacy policy.
14. Age
SoSha accounts are available to persons aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to create one. If you believe a person under 18 holds an account, contact support@sosha.ai.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Service develops or the law changes. Where a change is material we will provide at least 30 days' notice by email or within the Service, and will update the date at the top.
